So in the spirit of Lent, I have decided to give up something I find I constantly obsess over. Television. In particular: Television Shows. I pretty much consider my day in relation to what shows I watch and what time they come on. I am totally obsessed!! Now I am struggling to not turn the channel from the news, which is allowed along with movies, or to not turn the TV on. Its been hard, but I have not watched a single television show since Wednesday. Not even House... I know! I am impressed too! So wish me luck as I am counting the days until I am free to watch my precious House once more.
On to much more interesting things. My birthday was last Thursday. I turned the big 27! The day was good, I got a gift from a co-worker: A Team Edward T-shirt (totally rocks), a sign for my house decor that says blessings, and a dress for Keeley ( she had to, she is a mommy to a boy!). Cris then surprised me with a carrot cake (my fav!) and a balloon to work. Since I am getting plane tickets to go see my grandparents for a combo birthday/Christmas gift, I thought that was it. Nope. Saturday night, since Cris works nights during the week, he surprised me by having Ann babysit and taking me to the water front (another fav) for a walk. We then stopped for a drink at Katie Downs where Cris learned I have a fear of balconies (don't ask). On the way "home" Cris pulls up to a building and starts to look for a parking spot. He TOTALLY surprised me with dinner at the Melting Pot!! I was soo excited! I have been dying to try it for sooo long!! The food was soo yummy! I loved every minute of it. So ya, my husband rocks!!
Finally, the last new thing I have to share with you all is that Sunday night Keeley laughed at me! A real honest-to-God laugh!! I was so surprised. I was just holding her in my lap making kissy faces at her and she must have thought it soo funny. I of course starting laughing, which made her laugh harder. I laughed so hard I couldn't breath...it was so stinkin' cute!! Her laugh was a series of little grunts accompanied by squeals and gurgles all while her mouth was wide open in a smile. She was soooo cute!! I really wish we could have gotten it on camera, but its a memory I will never forget!
